Maple & Fleur at Pennard House
As we prepared for our wedding the one thing we were most excited about was saying “I do”. For both Fliss and Will, it was the act of walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time that gave them the butterflies before their big day. And well it couldn’t have been a more perfect moment.
As for the venue choice and the decor. “Our love for being outdoors and in nature inspired us to have natural and floral tones.” Everything about this wedding was gorgeous, and you could see the love and care that had gone into every detail.
One of the memories I have from the day was when Fliss saw her flowers for the first time, a tear to the eye she was blown away, and who can blame her these flowers arrangments and bouquets are beautiful.
Pennard House was the venue chosen for this wedding. A beautiful country house set in the rolling countryside of East Pennard. The small lanes led to this beautiful stately home. Pennard house has everything. A beautiful outdoor ceremony, canapes on the lawn, and even somewhere a little more private for the Bride and Groom portraits.
Then we were off to the beautiful coach house for the wedding breakfast, beautifully restored, keeping some of the original features, whilst adding in the country house charm.
“We love Mediterranean food!” This was a good starting place for the food, as Fliss had grown up in Greece for some of her life, it made perfect sense to bring this part of her life into the wedding with the food.
Our evening food pays homage to the fact that Will will eat cheese for every meal. Ploughmans.
We wanted to WOW our guests with the whole day, we were lucky enough to plan our wedding so far out that we weren’t affected by covid, but this was the first time in 18 months that everyone will see each other and be able to have a bit of a party. Family and friends were so important to making this day as special as it was.
